Mold & Cast — A Two-Day Sculpture Masterclass | Potchefstroom, 14–15 August 2026
Turn the sculpture you made with us into a finished, gallery-ready cast you'll keep for life.
Over one unforgettable weekend, you'll learn the craft that carries a sculpture from clay to a permanent, display-worthy piece. Guided hands-on by master mold-makers, you'll create a professional silicone mold of your own work and cast it into a finished cold cast bronze replica. It's the same process used in professional studios, taught start to finish in a small, personal group.
Day one. You'll build a detailed silicone mold of your sculpture, capturing every fine texture, and reinforce it with a sturdy outer shell to hold its shape.
Day two. You'll release your original, prepare your mold, and pour your final cast, finishing it as a beautiful cold cast bronze piece. You leave with a solid, finished work that is entirely your own.
What's included
Expert tuition from master mold-makers, all the professional-grade materials and casting supplies you'll need, a catered lunch on both days, and of course your finished cast to take home.
The details
The masterclass runs over Friday 14 and Saturday 15 August 2026, from 09h00 to 16h00 each day, at Snowflake in Potchefstroom. Places are limited to twenty.
Who it's for
This masterclass is designed as the next step for our sculpture students. The whole process is built around the piece you created in our sculpture workshop, so you'll need to bring that sculpture along with you. If you're not sure whether your piece is suitable, get in touch before booking and we'll gladly advise.
Places are strictly limited to keep the experience personal and hands-on, so reserve yours to secure your spot.
